....photography is not just pressing the shutter button.....it is a "whole" (inner and outer) process..... You are outside in nature with a camera in your hand.... you are experienced, you were able to identify your themes and style during those years.....so you are prepared.... but there is still one missing point.... What? The stillness of your mind....not just to be in nature....but be Nature.....be there with your heart not just with your knowledge (ego)..... Let's suppose that it happened....you are there.....you receive wonderful gifts from the Universe. Those gifts can have different forms, shapes etc....maybe it is a leaf. You take your photo...You take many many many many many photos.... you are obsessed..... and suddenly you are at home. In front of your computer with loud music.... ideally with a glass of wine.....and the selection process can start. 99% of photos will never be used.....never. .....then there is that one photo....where your heart starts to sing....everything is brighter..... So you have the photo you want to work with..... what do you need? Lightroom? Photoshop?....other program? Yes....but it is not the most important.... Again the stillness of your mind, let the creative energy flow through your veins.....let your heart - the higher power work through you....just follow that whisper.... The ego - it is too dark, it is too bright.... no, no, no.....what do you feel? It is... No, no, no... What do you feel? But... No, no, no....What do you feel? It is not about your (my) knowledge....knowledge never can be authentic, or honest (in my case and this case)...... It is about the inner feeling, the feeling generally, the energy inside you.... Is your heart singing? Is there a feeling of "explosion".....wow...this is something I am proud of? If so... checkmark.....If no....right to the bin.... But it is a good photo.... Who cares.....? What is more important...were you honest? If so...your job is done here for today.....if not keep going....and let your inner voice speak.
